St-Cirq-Lapopie and Lot District in Midi-Pyrenees, France -- Ultimate Destination Vacation Photography Workshop for Adventurous Photographers and Couples - A trip to remember!

Our one-week workshop will be based in St-Cirq-Lapopie, one of the most extraordinary restored 13th century medieval towns in all of France.   We are looking for a minimum of 5 shooters to make this workshop a reality.  Non-shooting partners are welcome for an additional fee of $500.00 to the cost of the workshop.  Depending on the final makeup of the group, we will have one or two exceptionally well-appointed restored medieval private homes in town for the duration of the workshop.  Photographic opportunities will include architecture, lifestyle, landscape, and more.  There are wineries, caves and rivers to explore as well as visits to nearby towns and key destinations.  We plan to experience and capture all the uniqueness of this region through planned trips to the towns of Cahors, Rocamodour, Villefranche-de Rouerque and the ancient cave at Pech Merle (viewing only, no pictures).  There will be free time for personal trips to other nearby towns, Gouffre-de-Padirac cave near Rocamodour, and the many nearby wineries for tours and tastings.  Please visits the links below for more information and introductions to these locations:

Travel and Arrival:

The city of Toulouse is your final air destination (Toulouse-Blagnac International Airport). If possible, choose a direct flight to Toulouse and not come through Paris. I find it's more convenient and cheaper to fly direct (from Phoenix) but you should check your own route. Depending on your flight, you will clear France customs either in Paris or Toulouse. Our general plan is to meet all the participants in the Toulouse airport at the public lounge area near the customs/baggage exit door (there is one exit door). Most international flights will arrival in the morning; we hope to have all participants assembled by noon, pick up the rental cars and caravan together to St-Cirq-Lapopie. The drive time is approximately two hours.

Car Rental:
Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France and has all the ammenties of a large city. All major car rental companies are well represented including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprice and more. Advance reservations and bookings can all be done online.

Documentation for France:
France is a member of European Union (EU) and getting in and out is very easy for Americans. You'll only need a valid U.S.A passport. No visa or shots are required.
